Business enterprises are increasingly being required to undertake human rights due diligence by regulation, reporting requirements, industry standards, benchmarks and investors. In order to exercise human rights due diligence, everyone in the business must be able to recognise human rights impacts, from the suppliers' farm fields to the factory floor and the boardroom. BIICL now offers a dynamic training course for business people on how human rights apply in a business context. The one-day programme equips business people with practical knowledge of the spectrum of internationally recognised human rights and how their business may impact these rights. Led by Professor Robert McCorquodale, Director of BIICL, with extensive experience in business and human rights training to varied audiences, the course is designed to enable business people to recognise any adverse human rights impacts which may arise during the course of their business' operations. Testimonials from previous BIICL courses: "Enjoyed this - good to hear practical perspective and speakers were suitably interesting and lively.""Thoroughly useful and well-presented course overall. Very good quality of speakers.""An excellent, practical course that skilfully covers many big issues in a short period of time.""Excellent. This course was all I hoped it would be.""Thoroughly relevant, engaging and stimulating subjects.""I would highly recommend this course to colleagues. It provided great coverage of a huge topic.""Very happy I signed up to this. Will be looking at future courses at BIICL."
