The Fifth International conference on Social LCA (SLCA 2016) will be held at Harvard in Cambridge, USA June 13 to 15 2016. The conference follows international seminars held in Copenhagen, Denmark (2010), Montpellier, France (2011), Montreal, Canada (2013) and Montpellier, France (2014). Being the first time that the meeting will take place in United States, it represents a unique opportunity to communicate, disseminate and discuss Social Life Cycle Assessment in this geography. The number of participants has grown steadily in each of the international seminars, and we are expecting this to hold true again in 2016, anticipating over 200 participants. The emerging field of Social Life Cycle Assessment, a field of study that develops methods and tools to assess the social impacts of supply chains and product life cycles, is rapidly expanding and can be instrumental regarding human rights due diligence.     SLCA 2016 theme ‘Moving markets on social sustainability’ aims to foster a synergy between the worlds of research and business. It provides a forum to exchange and discuss advances in social life cycle assessment. Dates: 13-15 June 2016 Venue: Harvard University, Cambridge, MA 02138, USA Registration: Follow the link below for more information on the conference and a call for abstracts
